Customize Today View Widgets on iPhone in iOS 16 or Later
For those uninitiated, Today View has long been a notable iOS feature. It’s accessible through a swipe-towards-right-from-left gesture and lets users customize the screen with different widgets. Moreover, it also shows the latest news from trusted sources. Hence, you can track the preferred information at a glance right from the Lock Screen on your iPhone without digging into the respective apps every time you need the latest update. It can go a long way in saving your precious time and also enhancing your overall iOS experience.
- To get started, swipe towards the right from the left edge of the screen to bring up the Today View screen. Note that if you have multiple Home Screen pages, you will need to swipe multiple times.
- Now, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on Edit.
- Next, scroll down to the bottom of the screen again and hit Customise button.
- If you want to add any widget to the Today View screen, tap on the “+’ button to the left of the widget.
- Notably, you can perfectly arrange the order in which the widgets appear on the Today View screen. To do so, touch and hold the triple-lines icon next to a widget and drag it up or down to the desired spot. And if you want to remove any widget, simply, tap on the red minus button to the left of a widget.
- Once you have perfectly customized the Today View widgets, make sure to tap on Done at the upper right corner of the screen to confirm the changes. Note:
It’s worth pointing out that if you have added any Home Screen widgets to the Today View screen, you will need to separately edit it. Simply, scroll down to the bottom of the screen -> tap on Edit. After that, tap on the “-“ button to the left of a widget to remove it. You can also use the drag-and-drop gesture to place the widget at the preferred spot. As always, be sure to tap on Done at the top right corner of the screen to finish.
